Tara discovered her passion for yoga in Asheville, N.C., in 2006, while preparing for raft guide training on the Chattooga River. Quickly, she discovered the physical strength and peace of mind that yoga elicited.
In 2008, Tara returned to Ohiopyle, her hometown, and committed to a regular yoga practice with Wade Zinter at the Ohiopyle Community Center. She was drawn to the tradition and connection of mind, body and spirit and began a journey of healing her sports-induced injuries.
With a desire to lead others on a path of healing, Tara completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training with Pittsburgh’s Yoga Flow in 2010. To complement her yoga practice with an all-inclusive workout, she completed a Barre Above instructor certification in 2017.
Off the mat, Tara serves as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT, in Morgantown, W.V.
