Body Positive - Level 101 - Yoga for Bigger Bodies

Your body is not something to be conquered or despised. You can practice yoga and honor your unique body – the one you’re in today - and begin a healthier relationship to yourself in your body and in your mind!

Our day together will be an interactive, fun, and insightful time. We will work together, try out new things, share our experiences - and through a series of exercises we'll be able to experience first hand what it is to move freely and safely within our bodies. This workshop will help you to approach your yoga practice with a new mindset - helping you to move beyond your expectations and perceived limitations towards physical and mental strength, flexibility and wellness.

Areas we will dive in to:
- Comparative Anatomy
- Body Positioning, Movement & Awareness
- Pose Modifications, Props & Blocks
- Flow & Sequence Variations
- Practicing Bigger Bodies Yoga

Our first session will examine the basics of yoga including:
- Breath
- Basic Yoga Sequencing - Sun Salutations with Props
- Individual Assesment
- Q & A

Cost: $40 per session (drop-ins welcome) / $70 for both (pregistration necessary for discount)

We recommend planning to attend BOTH workshop sessions as we will use information from the first session to build the second session. NO YOGA EXPEREICE IS REQUIRED - BEGINNERS WELCOME & ENCOURAGED!

About Cassie, E-RYT 200/YACEP: 
Cassie is the owner of Moonglow Yoga, and the lead trainer for Moonglow's RYT-200 program. As a non-typical, plus sized yogini with T-Rex proportions and quads that will allow her to stay in crescent lunge for way too long - her own body has helped her find acceptance and levity in her teaching. She's currently living with an angry SI joint from an old injury, two dogs, a handful of cats, and the support of a lot of amazing people that she's met in the local yoga community.
