Join Jenny Dayton for a Prenatal yoga workshop. This workshop is limited to moms-to-be in their SECOND OR THIRD TRIMESTER ONLY. It is recommended NOT to practice during the first trimester as your body may be experiencing tiredness or sickness.
The second trimester is when your body physically changes. It is a time when you can engage in a prenatal yoga practice that focuses on building flexibility and strengthens muscles to prepare for delivery. This includes hip opening poses, easy seated and standing poses and poses that strengthen the lower back and pelvic floor.
The third trimester is when you begin to focus on relaxation techniques such as deep breathing and mediation to prepare for delivery. Deep breathing such as ujayi, alternate nostril breathing and the three part breath will be extremely beneficial when having contractions and going into labor. These techniques relax the muscles and send oxygen to parts of the body that need it most.
In this workshop you will be learning both gentle physical postures and relaxation techniques that you can practice daily in preparation for your little one.
