An introduction to Tai Chi, a mind-body form of exercise derived from Chinese Martial Arts. Tai Chi is often referred to as mediation in motion. Learn movements from the Yang style short form, which is known for it’s slow, smooth and continuous flowing movements. Tai Chi is a stress reducing activity that also enhances mobility, balance and relaxation.
About the instructor:
John Jarboe, M.A., has 35 years of teaching on the university level in Health, Exercise Science and Physical Education. His current certifications include Exercise Physiologist, Exercise Test Technologist, Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise Specialist. He is a former university and private club gymnastic coach and a competitive whitewater slalom boater. John currently serves as the Exercise Physiologist at Nemacolin Wooldlands Resort & Spa’s Holistic Healing Center.
