Girl Power Yoga

This is a yoga program designed for girls ages 11-15. We will practice yoga, meditation, self-love, positive self-image and kindness. The girls will also learn about eating healthy and have time for self-reflection through journaling. Each participant will receive a complimentary journal.

LPS Strength & Meditation is built on a community of strong women. Our mission is to build strong women in our community through yoga. Jenny, a high school teacher who works with teens on a daily basis, believes this must begin with our adolescents. At this stage of development, many girls are affected by bullying at school or online. They see negative images of women portrayed in the media which creates a false sense of reality. Many struggle with changes they are experiencing physically and mentally and are unaware how to cope with these feelings.

“Girl power” yoga will teach them how to cope with stress and anxiety through yoga and meditation. Let’s empower our girls to channel their inner strength and keep it real! “Who runs the world? …Girls!”


Cost: $90 for the entire series*

Dates: Feb. 2-March 9, 2017 (every Thursday for 6 weeks)

*Registration: Must have a minimum of 4 girls to hold this series. Registration deadline is January 31, 2017. If your child is unable to attend all 6 sessions, a drop-in rate of $20 is available but you must still register them online for each class they plan to attend. Register online at
